The sight of people walking at the end of a long day
With curved shoulders, they’re swaying as they walk
The sight of people walking at the end of a hard day
They try to smile but
Their footsteps are so heavy
Though we resent the morning sun
That rises too fast
We must walk toward the day
That will be the same as yesterday
I must survive, though it’s hard, though there are tears
I try fixing my shoelaces
I must get up though it hurts, though it’s dark
With my two fists
I must overcome
Each day is so similar, I get sick of it
Making me tired and want to give up
But I must walk toward the day
That will be the same as yesterday
I must survive, though it’s hard, though there are tears
I try fixing my shoelaces
I must get up though it hurts, though it’s dark
With my two fists
I must overcome
I must survive, though it’s hard, though there are tears
I try fixing my shoelaces
I must get up though it hurts, though it’s dark
Biting down hard, I must survive this life
