The same old cliche
Endlessly lingering
All the folded up memories
Are deeply buried
The day I met you
The unfamiliar you
The day that endless thoughts
Kept coming
The colors aren’t flashy
But I’m drawing out our day
A movie on a relaxing weekend
A walk on a warm afternoon
Sitting next to each other and sharing a cup of coffee
They were such big joys to me
Somewhere deep in my heart
There are broken pieces of memories
In case I step on them
I’ve stopped in place
Can I be happy? Can I be happy?
I’ve closed my eyes in fear
I’m slowly taking a step
So I can draw out our day
A movie on a relaxing weekend
A walk on a warm afternoon
Sitting next to each other and sharing a cup of coffee
Those memories fill me up
Like a painting that’s not flashy
Like a day that’s not sunny
Even if it’s a cliche that’s nothing special
All of this seems like a dream to me
I still want to be happy
